What this is

CIPLE Exam Alerts watches the official CAPLE registration listings and tells you when a place appears at a centre you care about. That is the whole service.

It exists because CAPLE has no notification system of its own. Places appear without warning, and they can be gone the same week. The alternative to an alert is refreshing the registration site by hand, for months, which is what most people end up doing.

What we are not

• We are not CAPLE, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for them. CAPLE is the University of Lisbon body that sets and runs the exams.
• We do not register you. We tell you a place exists. Booking it, paying for it and sitting it are between you and the centre.
• We do not hold places or influence who gets one. Everyone finds out at the same time we do.
• We cannot tell you a centre will run a given exam. CAPLE publishes what each centre is listing for its current session, and each centre decides its own levels. Confirm with the centre before you plan around it.

What our monitoring has measured

We have been watching CAPLE's listings since January 2026. Some of what that has shown is not published anywhere else, so it is worth stating plainly:

• Of the CIPLE sittings that went unavailable before their registration deadline, the large majority came back. 157 went unavailable and 140 returned.
• Half of those gaps lasted under 25 hours. A centre showing nothing today is usually not finished.
• Not one sitting became bookable after its deadline had passed, across 209 sittings. The deadline is the deadline.

Our directory lists 92 CAPLE exam centres across 34 countries, last collected on 2026-09-08. Not every one of them lists the CIPLE: CAPLE publishes levels per session, and a centre's listing changes.
